I'm in but need the whole mess including the handle. Does your kit include everything for it to work besides the handle?

It's my understanding that if you have a Rennshifter it will have to be modified so the lever will be able to swing ?

Not having a Rennshifter I can't confirm this but it may be a possibility

Sorry,
Yes there is no reason you couldn't use these in that application. It simply "preloads" the throttle cable.

I think this only one detail.
The most conversions are not complete
The most have the original -4 igniton swtich and other missing details.

The most converisions I have seen had the following missing -6er parts:

1. Hand throttle
2. OE headers
3 .6er steering rack/ignition switch
4. 6er water bottle
and other -6 parts.

In Europe it is harder to identify a conversion because in a 72er 6er
they used #3 and #4 from the -4

The base' are about the same size ? Makes sense. I don't have a spare base anymore. A pattern would probably work. Also curious as to what kind of machining the Rennshifter base is going to require--home hacking or professional machining ?

Jim,

You Don't really need any pattern. I just removed the base from the shifter, and the hand throttle lever from it's base.
The lever base mounts underneath the shifter base. Mine is an original /6 lever, and so it has a locating hole that secures it with the front left base bolt, but it also has a dimple in it that keeps the lever from pivoting around the base bolt. Therefore I had to countersink a hole under the shifter base to lock in the dimple. Then with the position set I marked out the slot location for the lever with a Sharpie, and then just drilled a bunch of holes through the base. Lastly I used a Dremel to clean it all up, leaving a nice looking slot with the full travel of the lever available.
You'll need to radius the top portion of the front of the slot for the travel because the base plate for the Rennshifter is about 3/8'' thick, compared to the original base made from stamped sheetmetal. I also has to use a washer for a shim on the forward right bolt hole under the base to keep it all square when I was done.
I did the whole job in a couple of hours, start to finish.

It works also with the 915 shifter but you must add a slot in the middel
of the shifter like the pics show

Ok, i'm *still* confused on the pricing and what exactly i would get for my money.
You list a price for a set but in the same post you list prices for add-on pieces.

What is is? A full set or pieces or both or ...?

As the hand lever is the most dificult to fabricate it's part of the assmembly, but if you wanted other parts to replace any bent or broken ones they were listed individually.
